The SOTAC-GEAR Matbock-Style Adjustable Iris & Lens Protector is a premium, multi-functional upgrade directly inspired by the highly sought-after Matbock Tarsier Eclipse. Designed to seamlessly fit PVS-14, PVS-18, and PVS-31 night vision objective lenses, this device combines a smooth-adjusting aperture with a rugged sacrificial lens to solve the most common focal and environmental issues faced by night vision operators.

By giving you physical control over the amount of light entering the objective lens, this "Matbock-style" cover drastically enhances your depth of field while providing a robust physical barrier against debris and airsoft projectiles.

Key Specifications & Features

Matbock-Style Adjustable Iris: Features a smooth-rotating outer collar that opens and closes a multi-blade internal aperture. This allows for fine-tuned adjustments to incoming light without having to pop off a standard rubber daylight cover.
Dynamic Depth of Field: Closing the iris creates a "pinhole camera" effect. This massively increases your focal depth, allowing objects at arm's length (like a map or weapon sight) and targets 50 yards away to be perfectly in focus at the very same time.
Sacrificial Lens Protection: Equipped with an impact-resistant front clear lens barrier. This protects your highly expensive, irreplaceable night vision objective glass from scratches, dust, tree branches, and direct airsoft BB strikes.
Daylight Protection: Closing the iris down to its smallest pinhole setting acts as a daylight filter, allowing you to briefly turn on and function-test your night vision in bright environments without "bleaching" or burning the image intensifier tube.
