The SOTAC INVG (Integrated Night Vision Goggle) Helmet Mount is a high-quality reproduction of the INVG design. It is specifically engineered to optimize the use of monocular night vision devices (like the PVS-14) by offering a unique 360-degree rotation system.

Key Features and Design

• 360° Rotational Arm: Unlike standard "flip-up" mounts, the INVG uses a central tri-lobe post that allows the night vision device to rotate clockwise or counter-clockwise. This makes it easy to switch the monocular from the left eye to the right eye instantly. 

• Low-Profile Stowage: When not in use, the mount allows the goggles to be rotated back toward the helmet. This keeps the center of gravity closer to the head and significantly reduces snag hazards compared to traditional "horn" mounts that stick out. 

• Breakaway Safety System: It features a user-selectable "Breakaway" or "Locked" mode. 

• Breakaway Mode: The mount will release from the helmet shroud under stress (e.g., getting snagged during fast-roping), preventing neck injury. 

• Locked Mode: The mount remains securely fixed to the shroud until the manual release button is pressed. 

• Force-to-Overcome (FTO): The stow mechanism is designed to move with firm pressure, allowing for quick deployment or stowage without needing to fumble for small levers in the dark.
